(ES) Fernando Sánchez, conocido como el payaso Faina es un artista de circo y guionista de cine argentino. Se especializa en técnicas de malabares y clown y realiza las dramaturgias de sus espectáculos.
En los años 90 descubre en las calles y plazas de Buenos Aires el arte callejero y comienza con un camino autónomo de rebeldía y descubrimiento artístico. Sus maestros, el payaso Chacovachi, los hermanos Videla, Enrique Federman, entre otros forjaron ese camino.
En sus 30 años de carrera artística realizó innumerables presentaciones en teatros, festivales, calles y plazas destacándose su proyecto cultural “La Carpa” , un pequeño circo/ centro cultural donde fue programador, artista y gestor cultural durante 8 años.
En cuanto a festivales y giras se destacan las presentaciones de su show multimedial en el marco del Primer Festival de Artes Multimediales de la Universidad de las Américas en Quito, Ecuador; y el Festival de Artes Callejeras de Loja, Ecuador.
En estos últimos años, junto a Irene de Elia, ha desarrollado “Viatrix, un payaso en la luna” que aborda la temática del medioambiente a través de la mirada de un payaso.
Ha sido apoyado con el fondo nacional de la artes, el instituto nacional de teatro argentino y el ministerio de industrias culturales. En 2024 ha logrado el apoyo para la instalación de un domo geodésico en la ciudad de Necochea, Argentina, marco ideal para realizar su espectáculo lunar.

In the 90s he discovered street art in the streets and squares of Buenos Aires and began with an autonomous path of rebellion and artistic discovery. His teachers, the clown Chacovachi, the brothers Videla, Enrique Federman, among others forged that path.
In his 30 years of artistic career he performed countless performances in theaters, festivals, streets and squares highlighting his cultural project "La Carpa" a small circus/ cultural center where he was programmer, artist and cultural manager for 8 years.
As for festivals and tours, highlights include the presentations of their multimedia show in the framework of the First Multimedia Arts Festival of the University of the Americas in Quito, Ecuador; and the Street Arts Festival of Loja, Ecuador.
In recent years, Fernando and Irene have developed "Viatrix, a clown on the moon" that addresses the theme of the environment through the look of a clown.
It has been supported by the National Arts Fund, the Argentine National Theatre Institute and the Ministry of Cultural Industries. In 2024 he has achieved the support for the installation of a geodesic dome in the city of Necochea, Argentina, ideal framework to perform his lunar show.
